We have been learning how to make good
first impression. So far we were talking about hand shaking, power posing and
smiling.
From
those topics, I am especially interested in smiling. Regarding first video,
TED, it was surprising for me that children laugh more than 400 times per a day
whereas some adults do less than 5 times in one day. About second video, I
thought “smile chain” could often happen to everyone. Actually, I had a friend
who is always provoking laughter by people around as her laughing voice was infectious. I remember
there is always laughter around her. In addition, I thought that smiling can be
a great tool for resonance. Laughing together makes people feel sharing
something interesting even if they do not speaks same language. So, I thought smile
chain can bring a kind of unity.
I am also interested in the power of smiling. According to an article which is given in the class, smiling can reduce the level of stress. In fact, there are therapy and yoga using this efficiency of smiling. For example, Laughter Yoga is mixture of laughter and breathing techniques of yoga. Since our brain cannot understand difference of fake of real smile, still power of smiling is effective to our health.

From the videos and my experience, I believed smiling and laughter can change the mood.
